~Library~

So I still have never stepped foot inside any library on campus.

I'm a weirdo and I don't ever go places by myself for the first time. I always like to have a buddy with me. Luckily, I haven't really needed to go to the library yet. Hopefully when I finally do need to go to the library I'll have someone to go with me.

I always just study in my room, the study room in my dorm, or in the laundry room in my dorn (sounds weird, right?). I LOVE studying in the laudry room because it's always quiet and warm. I'm CONSTANTLY cold and LOVE being in the laudry room where it's nice and warm.

I like to be comfortable when I study, which is probably a bad thing because I usually end up falling asleep, but that's why I usually just study in my room.

I think I'm the only person I know that hasn't been to one of the libraries on campus at some point or another.

Too Far Away.

I wish all of the important places on campus weren't so far away from Ridgecrest (where I live).

Getting to the Rec Center is such a hassle. I got to the point where I was going like almost every day, but then I got really lazy and I hate driving all the way over there. Also, it sucks that you can't park there until after like 5 or 6. It's way too crowded from like 6 to 9 so I always end up going at like 10:30, which is entirely too late. I feel so unsafe walking back to my dorm at like midnight by myself.

Also, getting to the student health center is a hassle. I've only been there once because I hated driving all the way over there, just to have to wait for like 2 hours.

A HUGE problem of mine is making it over to the Alpha Gam house. I usually just go when it's required. I'm SO lazy and I hate having to walk all the way over there because there is nowhere to park during the day. My parents are constantly getting on to me for spending money on food when I can just eat at the house for free.

Local Food: Pop's Garden & Montye's Farm

I went home this weekend for my cousin Shelby's birthday party. My family went to my lakehouse on Saturday and we had a home-cooked meal for lunch. The meal consisted of steaks, which came from my cousin's farm, corn, which also came from her farm, salad with tomatoes from my grandfather's garden, green beans from my grandfather's garden, and squash caserole, which was made with squash from my grandfather's garden.

Canned green beans are nothing compared to my grandfather's green beans. Fresh green beans from my grandfather's garden have so much more flavor than any other green beans I've ever tasted.

Although I'm not a tomato fan, I actually liked the tomatoes from my grandfather's garden.

The steaks had so much more flavor and were so much more tender than steaks from grocery stores.

It's amazing how much better local food tastes than food from a grocery store.
