So I went home this weekend and had dinner with my whole family one night.  They cooked steaks, one of my personal favorites.  The meat came from my cousin, Montye, and her husband's farm.  It would be kind of weird to me, eating something that I had raised, but Montye said that's just kinda how it goes.  They make a ton off of their meat and that's pretty much what all of their cows are for.  She said the first couple of times it really bothered her, but after 8 years she's kind of used to it.

I was sitting around in my dorm tonight, listening to my roommates talk to some of their friends about their majors.  One of my roommates is a bio/pre med. major, but she's really not enjoying it and doesn't really want to follow through with it anymore.  I went to high school with her and know she's always been a HUGE over achiever, which i guess could be a good thing in many ways, but she also is WAY too worried with what people think about her.  Her parents are also kind of like that.  They want her to be a doctor or a lawyer or something equally as productive and "important."  She's really hesitant about changing her major because she knows a bio major makes her seem extremely smart and successful, and because she doesn't want to change to something that won't make hr as much money.  I think that's totally ridiculous, especially since she's not enjoying her classes at all.

Ok, so I finally found a house to live in next year, right off campus. It's totally random. I'm living with my twin sister (who sin't exactly my best friend), a girl i used to hang out with, and another girl I went to highschool with but never really hung out with.

But I'm totally excited because now I can get a dog... and I've found the PERFECT one. It's a weimeraner/lab mix and has a brother that my boyfriend wants to get. They are ADORABLE.

Anyway, enough about dogs, because that appears to be the topic of most of my posts so far.

I registered for classes today and I HATE UH (University Honors) classes. They always get filled up SO far and I can't ever get into the one I want. I also hate how I always have the perfect schedule figured out and EVERY time one of my classes gets changed to the WORST possible time.

SICK! SICK! SICK!

I'm so tired of being sick!! I was sick twice last semester and I've been sick pretty much all of this semester, too. I've always heard that freshmen usually get sick a lot because they're being exposed--for the first time--to SO MANY sick people, but I figured that wouldn't really apply to me because I rarely get sick.

Well, apparently I was wrong, and it sucks. It really freaks me out when people sitting behind me in class cough ALL OVER me! Ew. I understand that they're bing responsible and going to class, despite their sicknesses, but it's totally not necessary to cough all over everyone. Cover your mouth! And I'm tired of having to give people cough drops during class. Apparently no one--except me--is capable of buying their own cough drops. I don't mind giving them out, but it's pretty ridiculous having to give them to the same people day-after-day. I mean, if you're going to be coughing uncontrolably during class, but cough drops or something.

And I can't find ANY medicine that works. I even took a prescription for my bronchitis a couple of weeks ago and I have bronchitis again, less than two weeks later. This is getting pretty exhausting and ridiculous, especially since it's totally messing up my work-out routine to get ready for summer.

Hey, so y'all should definitely watch this VIDEO!! One of the guys is my boyfriend and the other guy is his step brother.  They live together in Auburn and this is what happened one morning at like 2 a.m. when they were trying to study.  Needless to say, my boyfriend just got diagnosed with ADD...

... couldn't figure out how to get the actual video on here, so you'll have to click on the link.
Has anyone noticed that there are dogs ALL OVER the quad now that it's warmed up a lot? I am totally obsessed with dogs and I want one SO bad, but I can't find anywhere to live around campus where I can keep a dog.  I've been looking all over the internet for the past few months trying to find apartments anywhere around campus that allow dogs over 20lbs and I haven't been able to find any within like 10 minutes of campus. I mean, where do all these people live with all these big dogs??? I know there are also a lot of houses right around campus, but I've heard of people that live in apartments with dogs, I just can't ever find out which apartments they live in.  And even some of the houses around campus don't allow dogs.  The whole finding somewhere to live on or around campus, not in a dorm, just infuriates me.  It's so hard to find anything online or anywhere else.  Real estate agencies definitely need to figure out a better method of advertising their properties around Tuscaloosa.
